About Penn State Women's Water Polo
The Penn State Women are part of the Collegiate Water Polo Association and compete in the Mid-Atlantic Division.
For the second year, the Mid-Atlantic Division has been divided into two. This means that the ladies are now in a smaller division that includes Pitt, Penn, West Chester, Ohio, and Carnegie Mellon.
In 2013 and 2014, the Nittany Lions came in second in their division. This year, they hope to finish first, which will earn them a trip to the National Tournament and the chance to improve upon their 8th place Nationals finish in 2011.
In 2015, the Nittany Lions came in first in their division! They traveled to the National Tournament at Middlebury College in Vermont, where they placed 7th in the nation!
The main season takes place during the spring semester, through there are some out-of-season practices and tournaments during the fall.
